We meet on most third Tuesdays of the month from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708. 

Patients, caregivers and friends share their knowledge and experiences on treatments, coping with side effects, medical insurance, participation in clinical trials, new scientific and clinical research and provide mutual support and encouragement.

Please note that this Holiday Gathering will take the place of our regularly scheduled monthly meeting.  There will be not be a multiple myeloma support group meeting at the Leever Cancer Center on December 15, 2009.

February 16, 2010 - Guest Speaker:   Rose-Ann Chrzanowski, Reiki Master will be at the February meeting to offer Reiki sessions to members. Book a mini session and experience the healing benefits of the deep relaxation of Reiki.  While Rose-Ann gives mini Reiki sessions in another room, group members will stay in the conference room and have the opportunity to share their stories and experiences and ask questions.

March 16, 2010 -  Guest Speaker:  Ann McNeill, RN, MSN, APN-C, The Cancer at Hackensack University Medical Center, Multiple Myeloma Division.  Ann is also a member of the International Myeloma Foundation's Nurse Leadership Board.  Ann will discuss "Understanding your Lab Reports and your Immune System".

May 18, 2010 - Guest Speaker:  Dr. Ruben Niesvizky, Associate Professor of Medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan.
